On-site Clinical Risk Assessments and Documentation Review

An Office Practice Assessment is a one-day, on-site evaluation designed to identify risk control strategies for the most frequently cited deficiencies in malpractice claims. The focused assessment usually includes:

A brief tour of the office
An interview with the office manager/administrator
A review of:
- office manuals, e.g., policies and procedures
- personnel policies (credentialing, staff evaluations, orientation requirements, competency review, etc.), and
- random review of patient records.

Through this process, Millennium also seeks to learn about other innovative programs or technology that the practice utilizes to reduce risk and minimize losses. Although not required, physicians are welcome to participate in the assessment.

Following the assessment, a written report is developed to include findings, as well as performance improvement recommendations. After your review of the report, follow-up consultation regarding implementation of the recommendations is available.
