ADMISSIONS
& FINANCIAL AID
Families choose Valley Forge for many reasons:
- Academy
applicants may seek a more rigorous academic program, more attention from teachers, or an
environment free of distractions that keep them from doing their best work.
- College
applicants may seek one to two years of college experience before transferring to a
four-year institution, becoming appointed to one of the national service academies, or
pursuing professional military careers.
Admission Considerations
Valley
Forge Military Academy seeks to enroll young men of sound moral
character that possess scholastic, mental and physical qualities in
order to succeed in a rigorous college preparatory environment. In
particular, we look for young men who are motivated to achieve
their full potential and go on to succeed at the top colleges and
universities in the U.S. The Academy has a rolling admissions policy
for enrollment beginning in the fall or winter semesters.
Financial Aid Considerations
Valley Forge Military Academy and College offers a very limited amount of
institutional aid. Generally scholarships and financial aid are
awarded only to eligible Academy cadets (grades 9-12) and eligible
College cadets. Awards are
made beginning in April and in most cases assume a full year's
attendance. Candidates must apply to the Academy or the College
first and then apply for financial aid.
- Students with exceptional academic, athletic (predominantly
football) or musical abilities may apply for a limited number of
merit-based partial scholarships.
- Approximately 65% of our College students receive some form of aid from federal,
state or private sources.
- Young men attending the two-year college can compete for
tuition scholarships through the U.S. Army Senior ROTC program.
- A tuition payment plan is available. For details, contact our Office of
Admissions.
