Admission Consideration
Valley Forge Military College seeks to enroll young men of sound moral character that possess scholastic, mental and physical qualities in order to succeed in a rigorous college preparatory environment. In particular, we look for young men who are motivated to achieve their full potential and go on to succeed at the top colleges and universities in the U.S. The College has a rolling admissions policy for enrollment beginning in the fall or winter semesters

When you consider the life-changing impact Valley Forge Military College has on the young men who attend, the experience is one of tremendous value. Annual charge for 2004-05 is $26,450. This cost encompasses tuition and fees, room and board, uniforms, required personal supplies, laundry and dry-cleaning, haircuts, shoe repair, and health care. Other expenses may include computer/technology fee, textbooks, personal allowance, SCUBA training, aviation and driver's education, or membership in the cavalry troop or artillery battery. A fee is charged for Health Center care that lasts more than 24 hours.

College Admission Application Process
The following information has been provided to assist you with the application process. If you have any questions, please contact the Admissions Office at 1-800-VFMA (8362).

Application Process: Once your application for entrance to Valley Forge Military College has been received and you have submitted the $25 application fee (non-refundable), your file will become active. We will send a request for transcripts and evaluation forms to your present school. A decision cannot be rendered until we receive this information. To expedite the application process, please follow these procedures:

  1. Campus Visit and Tour: All prospective cadets are encouraged to schedule a personal interview and tour of the campus. This can be arranged Monday through Friday at 10:00 am or 1:00 pm. We have also made arrangements for Campus Visitations on the following Sundays:

  3. Testing: College students must submit scores from the SAT or ACT examinations. International students must submit scores from the TOEFL examination.
     
  4. Medical
     
    Medications: If the student is on medication, there is no need to take him off the medication prior to attending Valley Forge. However, you must supply a doctor’s note describing the type, dosage and reason for the medication on the physician's letterhead. 
     
    Physicals: All students are required to have a recent (after 1 June 2004) physical examination, completed by a physician and submitted to our Health Center prior to arrival at Valley Forge. A physical may be arranged by our Health Center.
     
  5. Recommendations: You must submit at least two (2) letters of recommendation from someone who knows you well (other than a family member).
     
  6. Application Deadline: Applications must be received by Friday, 6 August 2004.
    (Application deadline for international candidates is 16 July 2004.)
     
  7. Formal Decision: You will be informed periodically of the status of your file. Once it is complete, it will go before the Admissions Board. You will be notified in writing of the decision.
     
  8. Wait List: In the event the enrollment becomes full, Valley Forge will establish a waiting list.
     
  9. Acceptance: Once you have received notice of acceptance, you will be required to submit a validation fee of $1,000 payable to VFMC. This will be credited toward the cost of tuition.
