College Financial Aid Application Booklet

VF financial aid is normally awarded over the summer on an annual basis and involves filing of the VF Financial Aid Application (in the booklet above) and the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), which can be filed on-line at www.fafsa.ed.gov. Mid-year financial aid applications are considered on a case-by-case basis consistent with budgetary availability.

STUDENT LOANS
Valley Forge participates in the Federal Family Education Loan Program (FFELP), offering federally-guaranteed student loans in the form of Federal Stafford Loans and Federal Parent Loans. We have developed relationships with the following lending partners that participate in the KeystoneBESTSM program of The Pennsylvania Higher Education Assistance Agency (PHEAA), as this program offers advantages in up-front cost savings, with loan costs potentially reduced to 0% of your loan amount. AES/PHEAA serves as our primary, preferred guarantor. See our application booklet for a list of our lending partners.

VFMC also has developed relationships with lenders offering non-federally guaranteed, "alternative" loans that can help you to bridge the gap between your financial aid package and your educational costs. A list of our lending partners for alternative loan products is included in our application booklet.

Financial Aid Application Procedures and Suggestions

  • Complete the FAFSA as soon as possible AFTER January 1 – ideally after you file your previous year’s Federal Income Taxes. DO NOT report estimated income. Send the completed application to the processor.
  • Submit all relevant VF Admissions and Financial Aid Application materials – no later than May 1 for the successive academic year.
  • Make sure you immediately sign and return a financial aid award letter to us, as funds are limited and are awarded on a first come, first served basis.
Deadlines:
For returning students: March 15
New students (for prime consideration): May 1
