REGIMENTAL CHOIR
The Valley Forge Military Academy and College Regimental
Choir cadets devote five hours of their time per week to
participate in this fun-filled group as an
extracurricular activity.
Choir cadets are awarded scholarships
for their vocal talents. Being part of the Regimental Choir allows a cadet to grow and
participate musically while still taking advantage of other Valley Forge activities.
The
group has performed at the White House, the Pentagon, Philharmonic Hall, Lincoln Center,
and with the Philadelphia Orchestra at the Academy of Music. The ensemble sang with the Opera
Orchestra of New York in the opera Rienzi at Carnegie Hall, has been a frequent
performer at the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis, MD, and performed for the filming of
a prime time movie, which aired in January 1986.
The Choir also sings at the schools annual Military
Tattoo in November, at Holiday Vespers in December, and at several on- and off-campus
events throughout the school year. In addition, each spring, the choir performs a
concert tour along the East Coast.
