helpRECOGNITION SOCIETIES

Individuals who make the choice to benefit future generations of Valley Forge cadets have made our finest achievements possible. Every gift enhances our institution and enables us to maintain our status and carry out our mission...educating young men as citizen leaders with a high sense of duty, honor, loyalty and courage.

Membership in one of VFMA&C's recognition societies is our way of showing gratitude for a benefactor's philanthropic leadership.

The Society of the Golden Sword

Founded in 1975, this society's gifts account for more than 80% of the institution's total annual private support. Gifts impact on every aspect of institutional development...academic programs, scholarships, faculty development, capital projects, special events, athletics and endowment growth.

Society membership is recognized annually at 3 levels:

President's Circle $5,000
Commandant's Circle $2,500
Society Level $1,000

The continued generosity and leadership of The Society of the Golden Sword is VFMA&C's strongest private resource base. Year after year, this commitment is a reaffirmation of the importance of our mission and our success.

To make a gift, or for more information about The Society of the Golden Sword and its benefits, contact the Office of Development at (610) 989-1336 or development@vfmac.edu.

The Lieutenant Milton G. Baker Founders' Society

In 1928, Milton G. Baker acted on a vision by founding Valley Forge Military Academy. His vision was to educate and train young men for leadership in America. This goal is still clear today and his influence continues to demand that Valley Forge remain the premier military academy in the U.S.

The Baker Founders' Society is an association of alumni and friends who are cultivating the future of Valley Forge through Planned Giving. We invite you to become a member of this society by providing support for VFMA&C in your will or through a planned gift.

Planned giving offers individuals tax advantages to make substantial gifts to Valley Forge without surrendering current income or the value and growth of their assets. This includes:

  • Bequests
  • Charitable Lead Trusts
  • Charitable Remainder Trusts
  • Life Insurance
  • Pooled Income Funds
  • Retained Life Estates
  • Traditional Giving Methods
