Annual Fund
The Annual Fund is a program initiated to offset the costs
associated with the efficient operation of activities at VFMA&C.
We seek annual fund support from our alumni base, parents, friends
of the school, foundations, corporations and others. Fundraising
is secured through grants, gifts, mail solicitations, cadet
phone-a-thons, and other appeals. It is essential for VFMA&C
to raise in excess of $1.25 million each year to meet
necessary operating costs.
Gift-in-Kind
A Gift-in-Kind represents a product or service provided to the
Forge in order to offset allocated budgeted lines. VFMA&C has
benefited from the generosity of alumni, parents, grandparents,
friends, faculty/staff, and companies that have contributed such
items as cameras, cleaning supplies, musical equipment and
computers, as well as services such as carpentry, use of
their horses and printing. Click here for more information.
Matching Gifts
You can multiply your support to Valley Forge by making use of
your employer's matching gift program. Sometimes a gift to the
Forge can be doubled or even tripled when utilizing a matching gift
program. Inquire at your employer's human resources department to
find if your company participates.
Planned Giving
One of the most effective means of giving to the Forge is through
a planned gift. Planned Giving is the utilization of cash, stocks,
bonds, real estate, life insurance, trusts and bequests that will
assist in furthering the mission of VFMA&C. The planned gift
benefits you by reducing
estate taxes, decreasing the burden of capital gains, and allowing
for income tax deductions.
Endowment Funds
Endowment funds at Valley Forge provide for continuous support or
maintenance of the school. One such fund recently
established is the Stanley Harris Endowment Fund, launched by VF
Alumnus Jeffrey Winans '66. Stanley Harris was a tactical
officer at The Forge whose leadership, guidance and compassion was
revered by all cadets who knew him.
